Aaptha Mithra Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Aaptha Mithra ("App"). By using this App, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

• •You must be at least 13 years old to use this App.
• •To access AI-powered features that rely on services like Google Gemini API, you must be 18 years or older. We reserve the right to verify age before enabling such features.

3. App Description

Aaptha Mithra helps users log, reflect, and grow through the ancient wisdom of Sanatana Dharma:

• •Daily sadhana/lifestyle tracking
• •Mood and involvement logs
• •Journaling
• •Intention and offering tracking (Practice karma yoga in day to day activities!)
• •Purusharthas and Gunas!
• •Optional AI-generated insights (18+ only)
• •Periodic statistics and self-awareness tools

This App is designed for educational and personal growth purposes only, drawing from ancient wisdom. It does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.

4. Account & Data Usage

• •You may use the app anonymously or with an account.
• •If you create an account, your profile data (e.g., name, email) is stored securely in our backend (Supabase).
• •Most of your activity data is stored locally on your device. You control this data.
• •Data will be synced to cloud backup, sync, or AI-powered features if enabled / requested, or if you join a satsang (group practice). A summary of your sadhana data is stored for analytics and insights automatically.
• •If you opt-in to sync, data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and may be stored temporarily on our servers (future roadmap).

5. AI Features

• •If enabled, some features may interact with Google Gemini or other third-party AI APIs.
• •By using these features, you agree to Google's Gemini API Terms and understand that:
  • • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • • Some submitted text (e.g., journal content) may be processed externally.
  • • Your identity is not shared

Misrepresentation of Age

By enabling AI-powered features, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you intentionally provide false information (e.g., a fake date of birth) to bypass this restriction, you are solely responsible for any consequences that may arise, including violations of third-party terms (such as Google Gemini API Terms).

We disclaim all liability in such cases, and you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims or damages resulting from your misuse.

6. User Responsibilities

• •You are using this app at your own willingness and responsibility. We are not responsible for any damage or loss of data.
• •You are solely responsible for the content you enter into the App.
• •You are responsible for keeping your device secure and preventing unauthorized access.
• •You must not use the App to engage in any unlawful or harmful activities.
• •You are responsible for backing up your data regularly. We provide both encrypted and plain backup options for your control.

7. Intellectual Property

• •The App, its logo, design, content structure, and curated material are the intellectual property of Aaptha Mithra and its creators.
• •You may not duplicate, distribute, or sell any part of the App without explicit permission.

8. Data Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how data is collected, stored, and used. By agreeing to these Terms, you also acknowledge and agree to our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

• •The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• •We do not guarantee that the App will always function without interruption or be free of bugs.
• •While we aim to offer helpful insights, the App does not replace medical or professional guidance.

10. Limitation of Liability

• •You are using this app at your own willingness and responsibility. We are not responsible for any damage or loss of data.
• •We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
• •You use the App at your own risk, especially on rooted/jailbroken devices.
• •We are not responsible for loss of data if backups are not created by the user.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. You will be notified of significant updates via in-app messages or email.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated. You may also stop using the App and delete your data at any time.
