I began as an atheist. Practical, logical, and deeply rational. I never went to temples. I did not believe in God. I believed in responsibility, cause and effect, and living usefully.
My father often said something simple: "My parents were my God. Take care of your parents when they are alive, and help others as much as you can." He lived exactly that way. Despite immense suffering due to long-term health conditions, he made a conscious decision to donate his body and eyes after his passing—so that he could still be useful, even after he was gone. That single act left a deep imprint on me.
WHEN LOGIC WAS NO LONGER ENOUGH
What unfolded in the final months of my father's life went far beyond what logic could explain. And after he was gone, I went through experiences that can only be described as life-after-death encounters—not belief, not imagination, but lived realities that questioned everything I thought I knew.
I didn't suddenly "believe." I was left with questions.
Around that time, my brother showed me a video of Sadhguru explaining death rituals. I had known of him earlier—out of curiosity—but had never felt drawn toward spiritual practice. This time was different. The video did not demand belief. It simply answered questions I already carried.
THE TURNING POINT
I wanted to do Inner Engineering but had to wait almost nine months. On my birthday in 2018, I was initiated into Shambhavi Mahamudra—the most meaningful gift I have ever received. Around the same time, my cousin introduced me to Vedanta and asked me to read Swami Vivekananda. I began with Karma Yoga. Every line stopped me. Not because it was poetic—but because it was uncomfortably accurate. That was the beginning.
FROM PRACTICE TO CLARITY
After Inner Engineering, I went deeper—Hatha Yoga programs, advanced programs like Bhava Spandana Program, Shoonya, and eventually Samyama. After Samyama, something fundamental shifted. A new clarity arose. I saw clearly that I am responsible for everything—not morally, but existentially.
Life situations remained intense. But inwardly, there was no disturbance. I could accept what was needed and do what had to be done—without inner friction.
